Ras Al Khaimah is on the way to reach 1.11 million arrivals by the end of 2022.

Since the start of the COVID-19, Ras Al Khaimah has has reached a record number of visitors. 

Between January and June, the emirate welcomed more than 521,000 tourists. This represents a 21% increase over the same period in 2021.

The opening of numerous new hotels, resorts, and attractions was what fuelled the outstanding performance. 

Currently, Ras Al Khaimah has over 8,000 hotel keys. In the upcoming 5 years it is planned to add another 4,617 keys, including our Sun Beach Resort Hotel.

The emirate, which is renowned for its natural beauty, adventurous leisure options, and authentic products, has quickly emerged as one of the Middle East's most popular sustainable travel destinations after most recently being named one of Time magazine's World's Greatest Places of 2022.

"We are on track to reach more than 1.11 million arrivals by the end of the year 2022 and to fully return to pre-pandemic levels in just two years." said Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority CEO Raki Phillips. 

All thanks to several strategic alliances and investments into our sustainable projects to increase tourism in the northernmost Emirate, paving the way for additional expansion in 2022 and beyond.
